Speckled Alder Poles/Furniture Logs hand picked and hand harvested for the pristine bark and natural forms. Speckled Alder Bark is greenish when freshly harvesed, it darkens to a chocolate Brown with whitesh specs when dried.It is a smooth Bark to the touch. The wood in the Speckled Alder is a bright Orange/Reddish color. This is a Great Choice for a rustic project that requires a darker Bark. Can't find Hickory? Alder makes a good substitute even though it isn't as hard as Hickory.
